Is Your Child a Victim of Bullying?

December 15, 2011

Parents sometimes it can be very difficult to tell if your child is being bullied especially if there are no physical signs such as injuries or bruises.  However, parents there are some warning signs.  For instance, your child might start to act differently, they may not be eating or sleeping well, or they may seem anxious.  For those that have teens we know that they can be a little moody but you may notice that your child may be moodier than usual.  The child may come home hungry from school this can be a sign that they are not eating their lunch.  Your child may not want to take the school bus this maybe because of a bully.  If you suspect that your child is being bullied please get involved.  A child that is being bullied may not easily open up and tell you what is going on so as parents we have to remember to be gentle with the child and find opportunities to ask questions.  Most importantly parents let your kids know if they are being bullied or know someone that is please tell, whether it is another trusted adult or you it is important to let someone know.
